Lactose Intolerance
|
As yet their is no real cure for lactose intolerance, it can be controlled though by reducing the amount of lactose in your diet- you could try swapping from any milk based product to a soy formula which should help, and keep away from dairy products If you are worried about not getting calcium from dairy try these non-dairy foods that are also quite high in calcium: Salmon, broccoli, Kale, Oysters, Turnip greens, sardines, shrimps, tofu. Also it may be worthwhile to check labels when you do your shopping as some foods contain quite high dairy additives/ milk powders or wheys: Bread/breakfast cereal/margarine/salad dressing/sweets/pancakes are the worst culprits.
