Splenda has just been launched on the UK market and is being heavily promoted on the T.V. It is a low calorie sweetener, available in two formats – Granular and Tablet. Splenda Granular can be used for cooking or baking or sprinkling over cereals and has only 2 calories per tsp. It is lighter in weight than ordinary sugar but spoon for spoon is as sweet as sugar. Splenda is also available in tablet form for coffee and tea and each tablet contains 0.2 calories.
